Small Business Forum Information

The Small Business Forum is the BA’s independent booksellers’ group, and has been growing in stature and profile since its start in 2003.  The SBF meets a growing need in the independent sector to collaborate, cooperate and exchange ideas, and we have been gratified by the commitment shown by booksellers in attending events and participating in the SBF.

The remit of the SBF is to bring booksellers together, to exchange best practice, to travel around the UK to deliver events regionally, to provide aids and support which encourage excellence in the sector and to give the independent sector a voice in the industry.

The SBF is run by BA executive staff and an Advisory Panel of booksellers:

  • Andrew Cant, Simply Books, Bramhall
  • Matthew Clarke, Torbay Bookshop, Paignton
  • Sally Johnson, Caxton Books and Gallery, Frinton on Sea
  • Patrick Neale, Jaffe & Neale Bookshop & CafĂ©, Chipping Norton
  • Stephen Jeffery Poulter, Books@Hoddesdon & Hertford
  • Jane Streeter, The Bookcase, Lowdham
  • Marie Telford, Hayling Island Bookshop
  • Ginny Waters, Wivenhoe Bookshop, Colchester
